ACCA in Malta
What is ACCA?
ACCA is an internationally recognised accountancy qualification counting 204,000 members and 514,000 students in 181 countries.
To get qualified, students have to complete 13 examinations and an ethics module along with 3 years of professional experience. The latter can be gained before, during, or after the actual studies.
How is ACCA Recognised in Malta?
In Malta, fully completed ACCA is recognised by NCFHE as equivalent to MQF Level 7 (Master’s Degree). This is sufficient to apply for the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or PCA (Practising Certificate in Auditing) warrant with the Accountancy Board.

* You have to choose 2 out of 4 courses. Please note that, in Malta, Advanced Taxation is mandatory for the CPA warrant, while Advanced Audit & Assurance is required for the PCA warrant.
ACCA Entry Requirements
Our ACCA courses are open to students:
- either holding 2 A Levels and 3 O Levels or equivalent in 5 subjects, including English and Mathematics
- or holding a degree in Accounting, Business Studies, or similar
The programme is taught completely in English, so it is expected that students have a good command of it.
